However, Alkimos is close to Premier Martial Arts and Fitness Academy – Western Australia’s largest purpose-built institute of martial arts, with five training floors, comfortable viewing and waiting area plus its own Pro Shop. Premier Academy first opened its doors in 2009 with the aim of providing the highest standard of martial arts instruction to Alkimos and nearby suburbs.

Premier Martial Arts and Fitness Academy is a mixed martial arts training facility located handy to Alkimos in Perth’s northern suburbs. The core of our training at Premier Academy is our Freestyle Martial Arts curriculum. Our classes are suitable for Alkimos students from all ages and walks of life. Premier Martial Arts and Fitness Academy’s instructors are constantly training and refining our Freestyle Martial Arts curriculum to ensure that Alkimos students are always provided with the most progressive, effective and modern mixed martial arts experience.

Our Vision for Martial Arts in Alkimos

Premier Martial Arts and Fitness Academy teaches true Freestyle Martial Arts – martial arts with no limits! The Academy’s instructors have all been trained “in-house” under the guidance of Principal Instructor and 7th Dan Black Belt Zak Jovanov. All Premier Martial Arts and Fitness Instructors have completed the Academy’s four-year Leadership and Instructor Training Program and hold black belts certified by State, National and International martial arts organisations. This enables Premier Academy to provide the highest standard of martial arts instruction to the residents of Butler and surrounding suburbs.

Our martial arts curriculum is constantly refined resulting in a dynamic and modern martial arts system that offers the people of Alkimos and surrounding areas the best combination of a diverse range of martial arts such as Taekwondo, Boxing, Kick boxing, wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This results in true Freestyle Martial Arts – martial arts with no limits!

Our Freestyle Martial Arts program will:
• teach you to use your whole body through a combination of the arts of Taekwondo, Kick Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
• give you access to a dynamic, in-depth and alive mixed martial arts curriculum
• teach you streetwise, real-world self-defence skills that actually work

Students come to us from Alkimos and surrounding suburbs at ages from 4 to 74. Some students are in shape, while others are overweight or lacking in fitness or confidence. Many come for self-defence, fitness and others for fun. Each person is treated equally and is trained to the best of their own ability and potential. A student is never compared to anyone else. At Premier Martial Arts our instructors are there to guide, instruct and motivate you to be the best that you can be. How do students from Alkimos get started in the martial arts?

Premier Martial Arts and Fitness Academy is open Monday to Sunday and runs over 150 classes per week for the people of Alkimos and surrounding suburbs. Our classes are divided into age groups as well as beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. We also offer specialised classes for competing in MMA, taekwondo or kickboxing, as well as Brazilian Jiu jitsu and women’s only classes. You don’t have to be in shape and there is no prior experience necessary.
